The Marley family and friends gave Alison and Baby M a very nice Baby Shower this afternoon. Mother and I had a great time watching Alison open all the gifts. We had a fun road trip entering four counties to get to our destination.

The first egg!!!!
Nugget was on egg watch today, she spent some time sitting in the nest with clean straw ready for the first egg. By 4:30 I gave up on getting a egg so I turned the girls out. I noticed Nugget under the deck making her own nest in the dirt and by 5:15 we had an egg!
Now I have a new chore gathering the eggs.

Bootie Kamp
I graduated from Bootie Kamp. The most important thing I learned babies don't sleep on their stomach anymore always sleep on their back. Babies need plenty of love and attention but I knew that already. So I'm ready to welcome the new baby to our family.

Nashville Girls Out of Gas
85% of the stations in Nashville are out of gas and so are the girls. Amy running on empty, Fawn 1/8 of a tank and Amber 1/4 of a tank. Long lines where they have gas. Looks like the girls are grounded for the weekend. Don't panic girls.... barges with 3 million gallons of fuel just came to town down the Cumberland River.

Varmints in the chicken coop
I thought I had to worry about varmints taking the eggs, but these two varmints put eggs in.
My eyes got big when I saw those two eggs, I've been checking everyday for my first eggs. It's not nice to fool Mamma Hen.

Alison registered for the pre sale at the One week Boutique in Champaign....so I got to go to. We meet Jim for dinner at Jim Gould's he was picking up Jasper County Maps. Nana's big purchase was a snow sled for little kids. A new generation of sledders is on the way.

As a boy Jim didn't need a alarm clock. Every morning his neighbor would pump water at this pump and wake him up.
